About the page...
Linda's singular silhouette is outlined nicely here, I think. And yes, Ignatius lives alone in this rather vast building.

I drew this to illustrate the scene in the ebook. I will not recycle it, although I might draw something vaguely similar.

The story thus far...
Grace and Simon, two teenage tearaways, have discovered a passage to Reality in the basement of The tré (a tiny theatre in their miniscule town of Otterstow). Unfortunately, they have accidentally trapped themselves and cannot return, although they do not seem to be in any hurry to do so.
Ignatius (the mayor of Otterstow) suspects this is the case and has enlisted the aid of the parents; Slide, Sandra, Pete and Gina. None of the adults have figured out how to open the passage, which seems to involve a mysterious box that they cannot open.

What's going on right now:
Ignatius, Pete, Slide and Sandra are taking a break from their investigation and sitting on the balcony at Nora, enjoying a clear evening in summer with some drinks extracted from the cellar of Nora. They are joined by Geoff and Linda. Poor Gina is alone in the basement of The tré, watching the box.

Nora Balcony

Within a few minutes Geoff and Linda were entering the balcony, each holding some small trophy from Nora's cellar.

    "Hiiiii!" Linda said, waving.

    "Evenin' all," Geoff greeted.

They all exchanged greetings and took their seats.

"Nice to have a clear night sky in the summer. It's a treat to look at the stars now and again," Geoff remarked.

"The best things in life . . . " Ignatius added.

    "Wozzat Iggy?" asked Pete.

"Hmm? The best things in life - they're free," Ignatius completed the thought.

"Are they?" Geoff asked. "I always thought you get what you pay for."

"Well, we're enjoying the night sky and it's free," Ignatius stated.
